Issue with alert configuration in PI 7.1

Hi,

I am trying to do alert configuration for failed XML messages by using the below link.

But I could not find any alerts in my Alert inbox in RWB.

Please find details I have maintained in Properties for my alert categories,

Application Pac: SALERT

Dynamic Text: Blank

Rule: Blank

And in Fixed recipient I maintain one tecenical user. I dont want to send the alerts to any mail. Just want to see the alerts in my Inbox.

When I check the log in SLG1, it shows the following error,

"Alert has no recipients and will not be created"

"Recipient SAP_SUPP03 not accepted"

note: Central alert server is running on the local system in the same client.

Hi Baskaran,

The problem is here :

>> "Recipient SAP_SUPP03 not accepted"

I believe "SAP_SUPP03" is the recipient that you have added in Fixed recipient list while configuring the alerts using transaction code ALRTCATDEF.

The recipient that you enter in the Fixed Recipient list should be a valid SAP user on the PI Server. Please check if this holds true in your case.

If you set the fixed recipient list correctly, that user should see the alerts in his "Alert Inbox" when he logs into the RWB of PI system.

Hi Gaurav,

I tried the same with diff user which exist in the PI Server, but not help.

Does I need to maintain any roles for the user which we are using in recipient list??

Or please explain me how to create a valid SAP user( not sure what is valid SAP User)
