Hello Experts,

Did you ever get this problem solved? I'm having the same issue now and I am getting the below error while accessing the rwd home page-

Service Temporary Unavailable!
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

  Jakarta/ISAPI/isapi_redirector/1.2.30

IIS default port is 80 while collabration's default port is 8080 as per the guide also during the installation I received the error regarding the database schema and below is my server environment-

Database and Application (Vignette and Search) installation on 2 different windows 2008 server, I am trying RWD 4.40.0.26 with SQL 2008 database.

Kindly suggest.

I face the same problem and this is the answer given by SAP:

Dear Customer,

If you can please carry out all the following steps in this order

please:

1)#Stop Message Queuing service on the uPerform Web Application server.

2)#Stop RWD Monitoring service on the uPerform Web Application server.

3)#Stop WWW Publishing service on the uPerform Web Application server.

4)#Stop Vignette Collaboration service on the uPerform Web Application

server.

5)#Stop the Common Apache SOLR service on the uPerform Search server.

6)#Start Message Queuing service on the uPerform Web Application server.

7)#Start RWD Monitoring service on the uPerform Web Application server.

8)#Start WWW Publishing service on the uPerform Web Application server.

9)#Start the Common Apache SOLR service on the uPerform Search server.

10)#Open http://<servername>:8983 in Internet Explorer. You should see

the Welcome to SOLR screen once this is successful.

11)#Start Vignette Collaboration service on the uPerform Web Application

server.

12)#Enter http://<uPerformWebAppURL>:8080

13)#You should see a Vignette Collaboration Login screen (Do Not Login);

if not, enter the command in Step (12) a few times until you see it.

14)#All the services have been successfully restarted once you can see

the correct screens in Step (10) and (13).

15)#Now logon onto the uPerform website as an administrator (or yourself

if you have admin rights)

16)#Please let us know whether you can see the normal uPerform website?

I had the same problem, in the end I :-

Uninstalled the Vignette software (using the install_exe) , removed the website from IIS, used control panel to removed the Vignette software and removed the Vignette directory structure from the file system. I deleted the MS SQL databases I created and recreated them from scratch. Of course reboots after the uninstalls are finished. Create the DBs and redo the install.

Be careful to ensure that the collation sequence is SQL_Latin1_General_CPI_CI_AS, the Database Compatibility Level is set to 80, and that the DB user you are installing has all permissions. The install info lists specific, but I gave them all. Do this from the database i.e. DB -> Properties -> Permissions , then select the DB user installing under. I know it's overkill but it's the only way I could get it to install without an error.

When you start the service you should get iIn the CollabConsole.txt file :-

[Jun 7, 2011 12:08:18 PM (main)]: SQL Server database adaptor initialized.

[Jun 7, 2011 12:08:18 PM (main)]: Connected to Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft SQL Server Yukon - 9.00.4035

[Jun 7, 2011 12:08:19 PM (main)]: Removing 0 files from directory mimeContentDir(mimecontent)

[Jun 7, 2011 12:08:19 PM (main)]: Starting Vignette Collaboration 8.0.2.64, Windows Server 2008/SQLServerDriver/Tomcat $26-Aug-10 21:38:23$.

[Jun 7, 2011 12:08:19 PM (main)]: fully initializing the database

[Jun 7, 2011 12:08:20 PM (main)]: Finished fully initing and opening db

[Jun 7, 2011 12:08:20 PM (main)]: Property orm.reaper.memPercent changed to 0.1

[Jun 7, 2011 12:08:20 PM (main)]: Removing 0 files from directory orm.blob.dir(blob)

[Jun 7, 2011 12:08:20 PM (main)]: Creating RNode

[Jun 7, 2011 12:08:20 PM (main)]: adding ORM property listener

You should also be able to connect to it via IE http://server_name:port

I used the default suggested ports 8080 for collaboration server and 80 for IIS.

Hope this helps.

Peter.

Hi,

I am installing RWD uPerform. I am facing the similar error as you faced some time back. My installtion is complete, all the services related to IIS are running fine, yet I am not able to log into the console. Could you please share the solution of the problem that you had faced (as in this message).

Expecting a positive reply from you.

Thanks,

Renu
