Message Variant in R3 , hw is it created

Hi Experts,

mine is an idoc to file scenerio, I see in the existing mapping , a perticular field in source idoc structure (MESCOND) is populated with a value , coming from R3. Based on this value some mapping is done.

So when I went to we20 of R3 , I found out in partner profile , beside message type, thee is message variant,

I want to know , how is this message variant created , in which transaction , , what is its utility ??

Hi Arnab,

You can post this message in ABAP/logistics forums, generally Abapers or Functional guys will be creating the message variants. I feel they would be the right people to have a better explanation on it.
