Hello everyone,
When I am trying to import a transport (created in different SAP landscape ECC6) trying to import accross the whole SAP environment (Differnet landscapes SCM, BW etc .) getting following error:
Errot:
R3trans received signal 11 from operating system.
Main import
End date and time : 20101112094910
Ended with return code: ===> 13 <===
I am able to import the transport only in the environmet where it was originally created, and not in other environments.
I have checked TP, R3Trans, and Database library is overall the same, ther is no difference, is there someone who can help me to resolve the issue.
I have contacted SAP, they are suggesstingto update Kernel, which is not possible for me, I am using following kernel version:

Thanks for your help in advance

Hi,
As far as I know there was problem with R3trans (version 233-238) in combination with DBSL(dboraslib.so). Therefore you need to update both of them at least if you cannot update the whole kernel.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Problem solved, as suggested from Sammi changed R3trans, and db library.
Thanks

Who has given this idea to you? and why you are doing link this?
The simple answer is NOT POSSIBLE.

Hi,
If we are talking about possibility of importing transports from one landscape to other, though they are different SAP solutions, Yes it is possible.
And it makes sense to do, if the source and Target landscapes are on the same Platforms(like NW04 or NW4s etc..) and SP equal SP levels of the components that would impact due to the transport(like SAP_ABA, SAP_BASIS etc..)
If we come to your problem with OS Signal 11, you need to research in Linux forums as well.
OS Signal 11 refers to memory problem caused by the process, in your case R3trans causing the memory problems like Invalid memory reference. To know the exact description of OS Signal 11, use the command `signal`.
Also, did SAP asked you to patch the SAP kernel or Linux Kernel. You need to understand the OS Signal 11 problem whether it is caused by R3trans or it is due to some limitations or parameterizations in Linux?
Thanks & Regards,
N.Amarnath
