Hi,
What is the procedure to be followed to Transport Portal Content (Themes, Worksets, Pages, Folders, iviewsu2026etc) from Portal DEV to PRD.
Thanks
Hi,
Ideally you should transport the portal obejcts from DEV to QA (Quality) and then do the necessary testing in QA and then do the transports from QA to Prod.

Hi,
You can transport all PCD objects such as Folders , Iviews, Pages, Roles etc by creating a (EPA)transport package in Dev, export them into location machine and import them in to QUA/PRD systems.
Themes can be transported using Theme transport tool under system admin -> Portal Display -> Theme Import

What is this process called and what is CTS+ in terms of Portal Transports and
What is the Config requoired....
Thanks
CTS+ is auotmated process to do a PCD Object transport. In this Manager will create the Change Request and once created can assign you or any user as developer. Once you login to Solution Manager to use CTS you will be creating a Transport Request and will add the .epa archive file which you have created in System Administration - Transport - Export
In place of downloading the .epa file into your local system or desktop and upload into the target systems you will assign it to the Transport Requst created in CTS+ and you use the Solution Manager to move the transport and as a developer you have authority to transport only to QA and for moving it to prod Manager needs to change the status of CR to Authorize for import and then Basis can schedule a job to run the requests which are in Authorize for import or can move the CR manually.
These links gives you more details on the CTS+
Hope this helps.
Cheers-

HI,
Before transporting Portal Content to one server
1) Please set intial permissions first
2)Please Import the Config file if your content has any configurtions(.config archive file)
3)Import the KM content
4)Import the Portel Content(PCD content in form of .epa file)
5)Then Import the Theme
6)Finally Import the User/groups/role
Plz follow this order to get better results
for complete information of transport content.

Nivas

1. And for transporting pcd objects (iviews, roles, worksets, pages, etc) go to system admin-> transport->transport packages->export and crerate a transport package in pcd and add all pcd objects inside the transport package and export.
2. for transporting km contents, go to content admin-> km content-> export-> export templates->new transport package
3. for transporting themes, go to system admin->portal display-> theme transport->export theme
you'll get lots of docs in help.sap related to transport.
