Wrongly Closed Posting Period

Dear Respective SAP Guru's

By mistake I have wrongly closed the furture period instead of current period in MMPV transaction ( Close period of material master records). I read SAP notes also for re-open closed period, but i think i am doing something wrong, pls give me idea, how to re-open close period.

hi,

of course there are two or three ways of re opening the closed posting periods but

I personally do not recommend to re-open the closed posting period because in some OSS notes i read that the company code which records the transactions against the business process might behave in consistently.

there is an OSS note on the same.

please check it and update the forum.
