Smartforms: logo to PDF

Former Member

We need to include our company logo in a PDF. The PDF is generated by FM CONVERT_OTF from Smartforms OTF output.

Problem: The printed PDF has a nasty gray background in the white portions of the logo. Output directly from SAP looks fine both on screen and on paper. The PDF looks fine on screen as well.

I suspect this has to do with a difference in resolution between the original logo and whatever ends up in the PDF. I've tried 300 and 600dpi bitmaps and TIFFs, using a web-optimized palette, all with similar effects. The images were created with a graphics editor, starting from EPS files, so quality shouldn't be the issue here.

Any ideas?

Steffen,

Did you ever get a response from Skag? Did you ever solve it yourself?

Thanks,

Joe

Hi Joe,

no, I didn't solved my problem. I used a monochrome logo-picture (black and white) as for a workaround but don't know how to import a colored picture which also looks well?!

Regards

Steffen
