Dear all,

PRODCI , PRODApp1, PRODApp2 and DB is standalone.

I have checked st06n on Prod server , i found one of the dialog instance shows free physical memory is 10MB ,

Allocated memory is 16GB RAM.

rest of the prod (Cluster) servers are showing free physical memory 3GB memories .

Let me know how to resolve the memory utilization

Kindly suggets .

Hi,

I have checked st06n on Prod server , i found one of the dialog instance shows free physical memory is 10MB.
Allocated memory is 16GB RAM.

It may be due to non-optimal Memory configuration in that dialogue instance.

-> Execute SM04 on that dialogue instance and check that any SAP users have occupied more memory per session ?

-> Also look at Top Processes in ST06 or at OS level, which are showing high memory consumption.

-> How many dialogue/background work processes are configures in that affected instance ? sometime it may be due to high numbers of dialogue/background work processes.

-> Also look at these SAP Notes 425207, 830576 , 146289 and check that all memory related parameters are set optimally.

-> In ST02 check the usage of Extended memory. Also monitor other memory components.

Depends how you configured your load balancing, all servers will not show the same free memory. If one app server shows 10 MB free then system will try to use the SWAP memory. You can check in SM04 --> goto --> memory. Sort the column Mem(total) and check which user is occupying more memory.

You can check the memory history in ST06n and monitor your system is performing.
