Dear Sunil,

Not able to open the link sent by you.

I am having oradev and devadm user accounts @ DEV server and oraprd and prdadm user accounts @ PRD server.

Below paramenters set in initPRD.sap.

backup_dev_type = pipe

pipe_copy_cmd = rsh

remote_host = developement (i am able to ping it from PRD server)

tape_address = /dev/nst0

tape_address_rew = /dev/st0

What should be remote_user value???? Is is oraprd or prdadm or root?

Thanks.

remote user is your target server userID.

If you go thruogh the earlier link there is a remote_user link which will help you how to configure.

Execute command 'man rhosts' to get the UNIX level help which is well explained.
