Is there a way in PI to import data structures from ERP?

Hi,

I want to publish Customer information to PI using BAPICUSTOMER_04 structure.

I want to create a data type in PI that is the same structure.

Can I import this (similar to how you import idoc's or rfc's)

Regards,

John

Hi John,

It is not possible. Either you need to create it manually or take the XSD for the BAPI and Create External definition, then use it.

Thanks,

Raj,

Thanks for responding.

Unfortunately I think you misunderstood my question.

I'm well aware of how to import rfc's and idocs.

My question is can you import data structures that are not in a rfc enabled function module or an idoc.

For example the BAPICUSTOMER_04 structure.

John

Hi John,

You cannot import data structures those are not RFC enables and or IDoc's.

So, suggest you to export the structure to local system and get it import as an XSD.

this is pretty easy, you can import RFC/IDoc's in to PI using imported objects option in ESR.it will ask for SAP System details.
