Account Group Error

Hello,

We have a customer account group X, we use this account group to create new customers in FD01.

The reason in FD01 because we dont assign any sales area or company code views to these customer.

recently we are facing the error in creating new customer, the error is related to number range, after filling in the values, and when we select save below is the error that we get.

STOP- Account 2xxxxx already exist.

Message no. F2007

We have checked the number ranges, and they are fine, there are thousands more left to be assigned, but the system is looking at the numbers that have already been used.

your input would be appreciated.

Regards

Hi,

first check in OVT0- what is the number range assigned to this account group

then Goto XDN1 - check whether number is overlapping or previous customers exist with the same number.

if possible change / increase the series.

Check the buffer in numer range object details from SNRO - RV_BELEG

- check the type of number ranges internal or external?

if everything is fine, check the below note

SAP NOTE 196113

Hope it helps

As already suggested, you need to check your number range object only. But I am not clear on your above statement. When you say you dont extend company code for customer, then why you execute FD01 ??

thanks

hi

this is to inform you that

this is number range issue.

you might have taen standard number range that is 01 which will beused by all the account groups in standard SAP.

please try creating/using you own number range and it can mae a difference any time.

please chec XDN1 and SNRO for this issue.
