RZ21 - unable to add a component to monitoring - Java

Hello,

I want to add a SAP NW 7.1 CE system in our CCMS based on NW 7.01.

I use the help "http://help.sap.com/SAPHELP_NWPI71/helpdata/EN/44/86b14bcc8812d2e10000000a422035/frameset.htm - registering SAP NetWeaver Components and Hosts in CEN"

I have two problems:

1/ When I use the RZ21, in the screen where you select the type of

system and enter the information (message server, port, CSMREG

user, ...), I can't enter the name of the operating system user. It's

fixed with <SID>adm.

2/ I have typed the password of SIDadm (even if I don't want to use

it because we change its password regularly), when I save, I get a

message in the bottom of the window: "No valid XML document received. (

http://arsbsd30.ar.ray.group:50000/msgserver/xml/logon )".

Before, I've used the test button and no error was reported.

If I try to open the URL which appears in the error message:

http://arsbsd30.ar.ray.group:50000/msgserver/xml/logon I get a 404 not

found.

Is there something special to do to add an agent NW 7.1 CE (last patch)?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards.

Marc

I've found a solution to my problem.

Actually, I used a wrong guide. It applied only to a CEN NW 7.1 and I use a NW 7.0 EHP1.

After reading many help and notes, I found out that I might register the SAPCCMSR (-R pf=j2ee instance profile -j2ee).

I've also created the SAPOSCOL service, and disabled the services SAPHostControl and SAPHostExe (only used with a 7.1 CEN).

I'm not sure that SAP goes in the right direction ....

Hello Marc

The procedure you were trying to use works from SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP2 and upwards.

[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/44/893e933dc912d3e10000000a422035/content.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/44/893e933dc912d3e10000000a422035/content.htm]

Registering a SAP system to be monitored through the host agent service should significantly reduce the effort to integrate SAP systems into the central monitoring.

Kind regards

Tom
