Hi,
Our existing xACF forms are not working properly after upgrading the adobe reader version to 10.0.
The data is not passing to WDJ application from adobe form after upgrade.
Is there any limitation with the higher version of adobe reader?
Thanks & regards
Ravindra
Hi Ravindra,
Earlier I had some issue with performance, couple of our SDN experts suggested me to use the supported versions
like ADLC 8.2.1, ADS 7 & Reader 8.x I belive you need to look for PAM if 10 is supported or not.
I will try for that if found will post it for you
Cheers,
Sai

Hi Ravindra,
I just verified the PAN relased in Nov 2010.
This says to see SAP Note: 834573
Where as this note says as below:
Symptom
You are using the solution SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe.
To use this solution, you require the Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader software on the front end.
Other terms
PDF, PDF-based forms, print forms, interactive forms, Adobe Document Services
Reason and Prerequisites
This note tells you which version of Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader you require.
Solution
The required Reader version depends on your usage situation.
For SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe, we generally recommend the following:
Adobe Acrobat as of Version 8.1
Adobe Reader as of Version 8.1
Though the note is released in sep 2009 but this what is pointed in the latest PAM.
So I believe you need to roll back.
Experts Any comments ...?
Cheers,
Sai
Hi Sai,
thanks for your reply.
I saw that note already and as per the note for xACF and ZCI form we must use adobe reader 8.1 or higher.
Customer is continuously upgrading the latest version of adobe reader and wants us to update the form accordingly.
I'm not getting any doc or note which says that which higher version we can use.
so if anybody have any info please help.
Regards
Ravindra
Hi,
This is an interesting topic and is coming up several times. Some of my previously developed adobe forms dont even work with adobe reader 9.3 ! As of now, we are requesting users to downgrade. But recently I came to know that adobe and sap are working in collaboration to make the forms work with higher versions. However I dont know the timeline for this to get completed. There are some posts on the adobe site as well with similar issues.
Regards, Liz
