changes in a job variant

How do i check, when the last changes in a job variant have been made? Kindly let me know the path to check this.

Hi Anurag,

Use the below instructions to check the changes done to avariant of the job (only last done changesfor a variant can be tracked).

Use the below instructions.

1.Enter the transaction code SA38/SE38.

2. Enter the program name and execute the transaction (you can get the details of the program in the batch job details in SM37).

3.Use the menu path GOTO -

---

> Variants -

---

> Display

4. you will be faced with Find variant Popup

5. Keep the Created by field as blank and execute it.

6. You will be faced with display view of all the variants assigned for the program

7.Using the search option select the variant you want to check

8. Last columns will have the information of changed by and last changed date.

Actually, i need to know the path to check, if there have been any changes taken place for a variant.

HI,

NO change logs create for variants which is used in Jobs.

My suggestion would be you can compare with the selection criteria of the same variant used in previous jobs & current job.

After job is executed, you can selet the job from SM37, then slect in "Step" & from menu bar you can select the variant used.

except comparison , you will not know, whether variant is changed or not.
