test logon to SAP system failed

Hi guys,

Im trying to do a system copy and during the import phase i get the error. "test logon to SAP system failed" Make sure that the system is started , that the user DDIC exists and that the password of user DDIC exists.

My DB is MSSQL, and OS win 2003 server.

Please Help.

Hi,

During import you would have provided the DDIC user password of source system, you need to cross check whether that password is working fine or not. you need to provide the password of that time when the export was taken and not the current password.

Just want to make sure that you have installed the CI and DB software before you tried to import the database as per system copy guide?

What's your applications? ECC, java or ABAP+JAVA?

Solved it, i had to patch the Kernel to the latest version to solve this problem.

the password provided for DDIC seems to be incorrect. Please check that again.
