When does the COMPLETE button in PO screen gets actiavted ?For some PO's ,This button is always disabled(No badi has been implemented yet) while for some PO's this button is ACTIVE only in the CHANGE mode.
Thanks Jay.The info was helpful.But how does the system decide when the PO can be deleted and when it cna be completed?I mean does it depend on partial or full confirmation done for the PO?
The Complete button becomes active only in the change mode of P.O and not during P.O creation as there is no question of completing a P.O before creating it.
Once the P.O is created and no follow on documents created, the Delete and Complete buttons both would become active.
And in this case you can either Delete the P.O or Complete the P.O.
But once the confirmation is created for a P.O, the Delete button would get disabled in the P.O change mode and only complete button would be available.
However completing the P.O does not mean that Last Delivery and Final Invoice check boxes have been checked and transfered to ECC.
Though you can not post further confirmations or made P.O changes in SRM, GRs and Invoices can still be created in ECC.

Generally speaking, when there is open follow-on document for the PO, the PO is not possible to be deleted. For example, if confirmation and/or invoice is created for the PO. Or if the PO has an open change version, then the active version of the PO is not possible to be deleted.
