BPM: file monitoring with st-a/pi

Hi Expert,

I'm working with sap solution manager and bpm.

I'm trying to monitor a file by using st-a/pi plugin in my satellite system (XI).

In bpm I have selected -> Application monitoring -> file monitoring -> counter 001 -> file pat: my path -> file name -> my file name.

After that I done a "Validation Check" but this message appear:

"ERROR: NO_AUTHORIZATION"

and if I active the interface I can't see any alert for this monitoring type.

The rfc user in satellite system have these authorization:

Profiles

S_CSMREG and S_CUS_CMP

OBJECT

S_IDOCDEFT

Fields and Values

EDI_TCD:WE30 ACTVT:03

OBJECT

S_CTS_ADMI

Fields and Values

CTS_ADMFCT: TABL

OBJECT S_CTS_ADMI

ISTAT: (initial)

S_RZL_ADM must have ACTVT *

If I execute the transaction su53 (after the validation check) in satellite system I can't see any authorization issue.

Which is the missing authorization?

How can I resolve the issue?

You could try running an authorization trace witih ST01.

If you use trusting-trusted RFC connections, assign the authorization profile S_RFCACL to the user. Check the link

Dear Giovanni,

As a first step please make sure that you have followed all steps to

setup File Monitoring as indicated in

www.service.sap.com/bpm -> Media Library -> Documentation

> Interface Monitoring Setup Guide > Chapter 9 FILE MONITORING

Regarding the authorizations, please ensure that all requirements

are fullfiled as per point 1 of following note:

1267908 BPMon: File Monitor (Application Monitoring)

The File Monitoring executes function modules related to access file

level on the target system. The required authorization object is

S_CTS_ADMI. This object needs to be provided to the solution manager

user profile which executed the data collection in the target system

, that is, the user entered in the READ RFC connection.

Please ensure that you have assigned the athorizations to the right user.

Also, Please also remove the following object and value assigend as they are not mentioned at all in the docuemtation:

OBJECT S_CTS_ADMI

Fields and Values CTS_ADMFCT: TABL

You should use only

OBJECT S_CTS_ADMI

Fields and Values CTS_ADMFCT: EPS1
