RAR - Rule Upload...

Hello,

What is the best practice to implement RAR?

Creating functions...from scratch, or

Uploading the provided SAP text files via Configuration -> Rule Upload: Business Process...?

Hi Abderrahim,

I prefer uploading all the standard files through the configuration tab of RAR and further modify it as per your requirements. You can also delete individual risks, if you feel that they are not required.

This way you can ensure that all the critical actions, permissions, and SOD risks, functions, and business processes are uploaded in the system.

Customizing SAP provided rule set txt files and then

"Uploading the provided SAP text files via Configuration -> Rule Upload: Business Process"

that what most of the GRC customers do......

however chance of doing error and corruption TXT rule files is very high....

so may be just upload standard rule and change them in 'Rule Architect'.

I'm guessing it's also easier to follow the changes made from the standard later if you upload and change?

yes we can upload, however issue is that it will append, rather than overwrite....

so ....
