Landscape Pattern not available in Other Attributes (SMSY)

Former Member

Hi

Working my way through the LVSM 1.0 (with a number of notes applied) on SOLMAN SPS24 and when I go to change the Landscape Pattern on the Other Attribute tab there is no entry.

When I go to Utilities -> Attribute Definition I can see the Landscape Pattern entry with a tick in the T. Sys and Prod.Inst column only. There is no F1 help on the definition table.

How do I get the attribute to appear on the Other attribute tab.

Thanks

Doug

Hello Doug

From SAP guide

[http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e093b3ce-c034-2d10-01bc-b51f1691d3da?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]

(ht[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm70ehp1_sp23/helpdata/en/2b/5fad0d1f8549609efddabca9c7f65d/frameset.htm|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm70ehp1_sp23/helpdata/en/2b/5fad0d1f8549609efddabca9]), that is, a description of the extent to which a technical system is

used in only one or in multiple product systems. The following landscape patterns exist:

u2022 Hub

u2022 Sidecar

u2022 Space

Kind regards

Hi Tom

I have the LVSM1.0 documentation and understand the terminology BUT on the Other Attributes tab there is no attribute entry for Landscape Pattern and I cannot add it as there is no new entry button on the attribute list even in change mode.

I can't assign a system to be a Sidecar as I do not have an attribute called Landscape Pattern in my list of attributes.

I'm still on SP23, but that attribute appears under the tab for me.

Here's what the attribute settings LND_PATTERN are:

Name=Landscape Pattern

Descr=Pattern to Maintain Landscape Types for Upgrades

Group=LDPT

Only T.Sys&Prod.Inst is checked (same as you).

Value table=SMSY_LND_PAT

Value field=LND_PAT

Search Help Name=SMSY_LANDSCAPE_PATTERN

Search Help field=PATTERN

Is that any help?

Hi Sean

Thats what I have.

I've found the entry appeared after I recreated the instance in SMSY, hopefully I don't have to do it for all the instances..

To be specific, it only showed up under the tab for product instances (e.g., ABAP or JAVA), but not when a system ID is selected.
