Will NetWeaver work with 4.7C? (ESS/MSS)

Did you ever get a final answer on this? We have 46c and are considering using Netweaver Portal for ESS/MSS against it.

The posts above address that Netweaver portal can talk to 46c, but not if the ESS/MSS app can work with 46c HR.

Hello Doug,

In the Portal Content Portfolio you will find the

Business Package for Employee Self-Service 4.6C - 4.7

this BP is able to use as primary backend system the 4.6C and 4.7 (HR of course)

As a front-end Portal you can use from EP 5.0 to NW EP 2004s (7.0) due to the business packages ESS and MSS designed for 4.6C and 4.70 are also compatible with the portal version NW'04 and NW2004s

As general rule, you can use a business packages in your portal for releases in the backend equal or lower than in your portal, i.e:

- Backend 4.6C and EP NW2004s (7.0)

- Backend ECC 5.0 and EP NW2004s (7.0)

But never the inverse case :

- Backend ECC 5.0 and EP 6.0 SP2 (NOT MATCH)
