What is the material type for Online/IT material creation?

Hi

Can any one tell me what is the standard material type and Item category groups used for creating an online/IT/software product material which is sold online [eg. online information sold over portals, portal subscriptions etc]?

What are the uncharacteristic of such a material in standard system?

Hi,

If you do the physical dispatch of the online ordered goods, then you can process them as Trading / FG materials- whichever is relevant, if its only providing access to online material such as dowload or activation of license kind, then use the DIEN -service material type.

Hi

this is to inform you that

first of all these material types whcih you are using or going to use should be in any ERP or in your legacy system.

according to standard material types in ERP you can consider material types lie:

1. FERT - FINISHED GOODS

2. HAWA - TRADING GOODS - buy and sell

3. DIEN - SERVICE MATERIALS.

and SAP has provided many material types according to our requriment.

search in SAP liabrary in INTERNET scenarios you can find more information.
