Workflow did not trigger the email notification to approver inbox

Hi SAP Gurus,

SRM 5.0

Extended Classic Scenario

CCM 2.0

Query : Work Flow triggers the professional purchaser PP in approval previw of SC but there is no email sent to the PP inbox.

No email notification is sent to the Professional purchaser inbox.

Can any one advice on this to locate the error.

In Function Module RH_LOCAL _INBOX. Check the work item is available in PP approval inbox by inputting PP EMP ID and EN as language.

If the related work item is available, then check in SOST any mail is send to PP from system.

Also verify the program is RSWUWFMLEC is running successfully in the system with right variants if it is scheduled.

check Attribute forward_wi of PP position is 'X' in the org. structure..

Hi Sravanan,

It is alreday set as 'X' in the Forward work item attribute for the PP.

can you please advice something else?

Hi,

Are you using program 'RBBP_NOTIFICATION_OFFAPP' to send the email notification.. who is the USER that run this program? it is suppose to be WF-BATCH.

Thanks for the link, I have gone through that and found that all the setting are properly maintained in the system.

Can you please suggest something else which i need to see.

FYI : This is the sandbox which is the copy of other system.

Hi Sravanan,

Have gone through the program and when i executed that one , getting the message as -

No work items found that require e-mail forwarding to approver

But I can see at the ITS ( SRM Portal side ) that SC is displaying in approval preview screen - the professional purchasers User ID

And i have also checked in BBP_PD , got the work item ID and cahnecked in Swi1 , when i see the overwiew its not dispaying me any agent there.

Can you please advice.

Hi,

Do you see the workitem in the Purchaser ITS inbox? if not then you have to change the task to General Task in PFTC..

The issue has been resolved now . The problem was RFC Configuration was not setup for workflow in SWU3.

Problem : Email was not triggering in professional purchaser and approver inbox even though we can see I the approval preview screen at the portal

Solution : The work item step was not generating for Agent determination.

In Automatic Workflow Customization ( SWU3 ), Configure RFC Destination under Maintain Runtime Environment was not enabled.

Basis Team ran Perform Automatic Workflow Customizing button situated adjacent to Execute button. And the status for Configure RFC Destination changed from Red cross to Green Tick.

In Automatic Workflow Customization ( SWU3 ) -> Maintain Runtime Environment -> Configure RFC Destination

There were some more options below were in Crossed red status :-

We selected the particular step below and Right Click -> Auto- Customizing

1) Schedule Background Job for Missed Deadlines

2) Schedule Background Job for Work Items with Errors

3) Schedule Background Job for Condition Evaluation

4) Schedule Background Job for Event Queue

5) Schedule Background Job for Event Queue
