sap server clustering

Hi,

We are going to create cluster with our production server .

SAP: ECC 5.0

Database: Oracle 9i

OS: HP-UX 11i v2

server : HP integrity rx2660

We have production server and a SAN. We have planned the cluster like this:

One server will have CI, DB instance. The second server will run

Application server but in case of Failover of first server CI, DB will

be shifted on the second server.

Database files will reside on SAN.

We only have standard SAP installation guide

so any expert help me how to done this tell me step by step if

possible we have already purchase new server same as running prd

server .

What software are you going to use for the fail-over? MC Service Guard?

yes we use MC service gaurd.

now what is next and in what kind basis person's job in this

You need to have someone that has knowledge about MCSG and a SAP Basis person, or someone that knows both. With this knowledge a cluster can be build. It's no rocket science...
