storage types

hi,

1) i am extending one material to high rack storage(001) and shelf storage(002) ......depend upon circumstances user want to place into both storage types...my question is what is the strategy i have to maintain it.....(manual strategy not allowed)

2)it is possible to define multiple source storage type...for example movement type 101----902 is the standard storage type ,for same movement type it is possible to assign multiple source storage type .....

(1). If it is dynamic bin search: (Finding the next bin, if the first bin is not available) the prober search strategy must be defined here.

(2).Interim storage type 902 is designed for interim stock area in SAP for GR stocks from suppier. You don't have any other interim storage type in sap for similar purpose. Hence the answer is " No".

Hi Muthu,

With the help of special movement indicators , you can put stock in difrerent custom Interim storage types (as created per your choice) for the same IM movement 101.

Let me know if you get any idea or else I will send you the steps.

Dear Muthuraman,

If you can have separate storage location in the PO, you can try storage location reference to derive

separate WM movement type or separate storage type as described in the link below
