Hi All,
This is possible with Assigning a Document that is Already Stored

Hi Sandeep,
I think the solution for you would be to
- first do the basic settings required for archivelink (OAC0, OAC2 and OAC3). Choose the appropriate document type and document class according to your needs.
- then to attach the document you wish, go to the business transaction and use 'store business document'.
Have a look at the following link under Connecting to Generic Object Services: Link:[http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/63/566039b85f9443e10000000a114084/frameset.htm]
Hope this helps,
Naveen

Hi Naveen,
i have done these settings for archive link( OAC0, OAC2 and OAC3,SPRO settings).
Since i have all the documents scanned in optical archive attached to SAP server.
so i have created links in TOA01 table for all docs. Now i can serach my documents using TCode OAAD-> technical search.
Now my requirement is : when i do some new business transaction , i want to attach documents realated to this transaction whic are there stored in optical archive already.
how can i do this using GOS? give me some example using any busines object so that i can understand .
regards
sandeep
Hi Sandeep,
You might already know, for these kind of requirements, one of the archivelink scenarios is used. There are several standard archivelink scenarios available, for which you can refer Link:[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/3b/6b9b3c874da309e10000000a114027/frameset.htm]
For your kind of scenario, where a document is already stored in external storage, without an link to the business document, refer to the storage scenario 'Assign Stored Document to a Material Document' in the 'Storing Incoming Delivery Notes' section in Link:[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/3b/5dd7345a238045e10000009b38f83b/frameset.htm]
If you are very particular about GOS, then refer to the scenario 'Assigning an Object the Bar Code of a Document' in section 'Connecting to the Generic Object Services' in Link:[http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/4f/9932ce446d11d189700000e8322d00/frameset.htm]. Here it describes a scenario where the business object is entered first and document is scanned later, but you can try the converse of scanning the document earlier with a barcode and linking it later with a business object by entering the same barcode.
These are the possibilities I can think of. And based on how I understood your requirement, I feel that the second scenario described above will suit better.
Thanks,
Naveen
Hi Sandeep,
This can be achived via GOS ( Generic Object Services) attachments. Kindly find following link for GOS:
http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/4f/99386b446d11d189700000e8322d00/frameset.htm
Hope this will help.
