Hello!
We would like to set up the availability monitoring for satellite system from SAP Solution Manager.
Therefore we installed CCMSPING on the server of the satellite system and add the system via
RZ21 -->Technical infrastructure -> Availability Monitoring -> Configure CCMSPING Availability.
With this configuration we can see the system and the instances of the system within RZ20.
Because we also installed CCMSPING agent on the server of SAP Solution Manager we would like now to reconfigure the Availability Monitoring by changing the destination of responsible CCMSPING to the CCMSPING of SAP Solution Manager.
After changing, saving and testing the connection we get the error:
Message server cannot be reached
We added the services entry of the satellite system into the services file on the server of SAP Solution Manager, but we get still the connection error.
Do we need to set up some additional settings (e.g. Router string) within RZ21 -->Technical infrastructure -> Availability Monitoring -> Configure CCMSPING Availability when we monitor the availability of the satellite system with CCMSPING of SAP Solution Manager?
The appropriate RFC-connection from SAP Solution Manager to this satellite system contains router string.
Thank you very much
Hi
it is pretty unclear your question to me, we can use solution manager as the CEN, data comes from ur satelite systems. you should install ccmsping in all the satellite system for availablity monitoring, and CEN configuration should be done in RZ21.you did everything perfect you can see the the stellite sytem node in RZ20 under " SAP CCMS Monitor Templates-->Availability and Performance Overview
if can please read this [CEN monitoring|https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_SHORTKEY=01100035870000659947&_OBJECT=011000358700001444802008E]
