Document number XXXX is not within external number range 01

Hi All,

I am trying to create a document through CV01N, i gave document number(some number) , type-DES, part-000,and version-00, but when i press enter after providing these values it showing the error 'Document number xxxx is not within external number range 01'

Please help me in creating the document.

Hi

Please check the number range assigned for the document type 'DES' in transaction DC10 and give the number accordingly.

Hi Kishore,

check following points:

1. the number given should be within number range which is assigned.

2. Check in DC10 while configuring document type the number range assigned is correct.

Hello,

Remember that the number range of doc. type DES should be external if you want to choose the number for this document.

If you chose the external number range, certify that the number which you will inform is inside the number range that you customized before.

If you configure the external number range with :

- from AAAA to ZZZZ - Is necessary that number of the document starts with letters. ex: A0001.

- from 8001 to 9999 - Is necessary that number of the document is between 8001 and 9999.
