Change UOM

Hi,

I have alreaday created a material with Base UOM as EA.

We are using this material.

Now the requirement is, to change the UOM for the same material.

Is it possible to change UOM in the existing material? or should i have to create new material?

Hi,

Yes. You can change the Base UOM for your material.

But it should satisfy the following conditions:

1) It should not have any stocks in current period.

2) Also there should not be any Purchase Order or Scheduling Agreement.

Hi,

You can change the UOM, if you haven't raised any Purchase Order. Also ensure that you dont have any stocks.

if the above criteria is not met you can go for physical Verification or else use order unit.

hi,

please take care of valuation of stock if you change UOM.

make stock NIL/clear in EA in plants.

no document should be open against the same and then even look after material documents and also accounting documents on the same.

or

simple way is to create a new material with all new features for the same.
