Version copy deleted transactional data

Hi all,

While doing version copy, I selected 'Copy Master Data Only' and 'Also Copy Location Products'. But the whole transactional data is lost now. I assumed only master data get copied. Is there any way I can get back my data? Please help with priority.

Hi Guru,

If you are selecting 'Copy master data only' system will not copy the transaction data. In order to copy the transaction data also, select- 'copy master and transaction data'

In case you want to get the transaction data also, delete your target version, create a new target version and 'copy master and transactiond data' in to the target version.

This is not the solution to my query.

My question is: When I selected 'Copy Only master data' during version copy, why is that the transaction data of the target version got deleted? And now, How to get back the transactional data? Is there any way for this or else the data is lost entirely?

Hi

Data can be retrived from Live cache back up.

To secure business data there is check point data back up from Live cache.

Deletion of data in target version depends on selection give explicitly in selection of this program.
