Adapter engine empty in Integration Directory

Former Member

Hi

when I try to create a Business System in Integration Directory and I am configuring the communication channel

(for example File Adapter or RFC )

the field "Adapter Engine" is empty and has no selection to choose from.

Is there a problem in configuration or else? I have no idea.

Any help is appreciated and points will be rewarded

Hi Holger,

THis is caused by some mess-up in SLD when the install is done.

Go to SLD, Content Maintenance, class XI Integration Server. There should be 3 associated objects (the last column). See if XI Sub-System viewed application system

is present in that, else add that and restart the SLD server.

Also try a cache refresh.

cheers,

Prashanth

Hi,

this sounded very good. Didn't work.

I had only one object listed.

Which 3 objects should be there?

The XI-Sub-System had more than a dozen options. Which to choose?

Thanks, any help appreciated

Hi Holger,

Could you confirm, was it just a system restart or something else you did, resolved the problem ? I am having the same issue.

Thanks in advance...

By the way, forgot to mention,

Integration Server is showing up in the Adapter Engine pull down for three types - HTTP, IDoc and XI. For any other type(File, HTTP,etc) the pull down is empty.

Hi,

I followed all sugestions - I think, all of them helped.

Also I think that, at the end, the SLD config was the problem (Prashants entry) but I could not verify it.

Then I restarted everything and the adapter was there.

Hi Holger,

Can you please list the 3 associated object you used in the XI Integration Server class to solve your probem. I am expereince the same issue and am not sure which 3 objects I need to associate.

Thanks,

Paresh

HI,

I think the problem is your Adapter metadata is not imported.

Import the SAP BASIS Software Component into the Integration Repository.

For more-

Copy XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_<version> (6.40,7).tpz from <Components DVD>/XI /XI_CONTENT to directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/

After that go to Integration Repository->Tools->import Design Objects and then import it.

Hi,

Please also do the following check.

1. Run transaction SLDCHECK to see the connectivity to SLD is maintained.

2. The pipeline URL in the Business system of the integration server is correct in the SLD.

3. In the Runtime Wokbench -->component monitoring the Integration engine is green.

Hi vijaya,

did what you said: everything green.

One exception: In the tree , I can see only one "Decentral" integration engine, that is green. I don't see a central one

Hi Krishna,

I did everything as you said, a very valid advice.

Unfortunately, it didn't solve my problem.

I am using 7.00 Server - a lot of directories are underneath that path.

Do you have a specific location? I can't find any BASIS file in the tree.

I imported everything in the path, no luck.

Are you not able to find/import SAP BASIS 7.0<...> .tpz file ? Actually this is a Software component where you have adapter metadata.

Check the installation guide again.

Hi,

1. Have you created Technical and Business system for the Integration server in th SLD.

2. In the Transaction SXMB_ADM-->Integration Engine

GoTo Menu Edit-->Change Global configuration

You will see a button System Landscape, please can you check if this is loaded correctly.

3. Please check this guide if it helps you:
