Internal error: Too little memory for th e external sort

Hi ,

While i am trying to Replicating the Metadat for Data sources in BI system , i am getting the error message saying that "Internal error: Too little memory for th e external sort " .

For this i have refered The sap note_0000193529 and reduced the value for the parameter "abap/heap_area_nondia".

But still i am getting the same error while replicating the metadata from RSA1 in BI system.

Please some one help me <removed_by_moderator>.

Please read the "Rules of Engagement" before posting.

Regarding the problem, its very difficult to assest the issue without having enough information.

Can you please let us know your system specs, the details of the dump and the current value of the parameter modified?

Hi Reyes,

Thanks For quick respond.

We are using SAP NetWeaver 2004s.

abap/heap_area_nondia parameter value is changed from 40000000 to 3000000 .

and i am not getting anyshort dump , but it is raising too little memory error while trying to replicating the metadata from ECC source syste.

The note suggest to reduce abap/heap_area_nondia but that is less than 10% of the original size.

I reduced the value of the parameter by 10% but still the same issue persists. Would really appreciate if you can provide some other assistance.
