Hi,
I am on Solman EHP1 SPS22. I am recieving EWA reports for my SLD System Netweaver 7.1 and Adobe Document services system.
The report format is in the ( ABAP + JAVA ) style , while both the systems are onlly J2EE servers.
Although there is no data displayed under the ABAP headings ( it shows 0 values for all monitors ) the J2EE config Data and JAVA monitoring parameters are showing correct values.
SMD is configured for the systems but ADS is not supported so cannot verify if there is any RCA Workload data being displayed under the RCA, although there are no failing dispatcher jobs.
Other systems ( J2EE systems in the landscape show only two Area under EWA as per new format for KITLRD2 Java VM Memory Performance & Java VM Activity Reporting) while for the Netweaver 7.1 and CE systems its still displaying all the areas including ABAP like Service preparation check and Workload for transactions, but its blank.
Any idea on how to get the format of the EWA correct.
Hello,
You might want to double check in SMSY and ensure that the ABAP Stack is not marked as also relevant.
This would tell EWA to prepare for a dual stack system, but if the ABAP stack doesn't exist, there would be no data.
You can check for this possibility.

Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks , but I did search through the SMSy definition for errors, though i dont have the LV tools yet, but could not find any ABAP stack marked as relevant.
One of the systems I have found as per the note 146315 as said above that the components which are not supported by diagnostics can have this problem, which applies to ADS. But does not answer for Netweaver 7.1 systems.

KK.
Dear
This [SAP Note 1010428 - End-to-End Diagnostics |https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1010428] gives the overview of what is supported diagnostics wise for which SAP Solution Manager version.
The [SAP Note 1274287 - End-to-End Diagnostics 7.0 EHP1 SP18 to SP25 |https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1274287] has an overview of which notes have to be applied on managed SAP systems to avoid bugs/issues.
I'm having issues with getting diagnostics to work for PI Netweaver 7.1 but it looks like it's caused by incorrect entries in SMSY.
Another possible issue you can have after updating ST-PI:

Hi Kaustubh,
Could you please check if this is the issue described in note 1463105: EarlyWatch Alert for a pure Java system with ABAP contents... ?

Hi,
I have repeatedly checked for some error in SMSY, but found none.
May be it is the case with the ADS system that the note applies bcz ADS is not supported by diagnostics, but what abt the rest Netweaver 7.1 systems ?
Also I am on ST-SER 701_2008_2 KITLOQ7.
Thanks for the note though, useful to refer to.

KK.
Hello
Are you sure you have the latest file implemented for your EWA report layout (newer versions sometimes available on SAP Service Marketplace).
See SAP note
[Note 1259109 - Latest version of configuration file for E2E CA, EA, WA|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1259109]
Kind regards
Tom
