Calculation Type in Condition Type

Dear All,

I have a requirement to use the following Calculation types which SAP is already listed out in the Condition Type. I am not sure how to use these Calculation Types and not sure about the Impacts on Pricing.

1. Calculation type M - Monthly Price

2. Calculation type N - Yearly Price

3. Calculation type O - Daily Price

4. Calculation type P - Weekly Price

If I select Monthly price (M) as a Calculation type for a Condition type, then the price what I have maintained for a particular material with this condition type is valid for a month. Is my understanding correct?

what if i maintain condition record for long time.
