Bar code printing.

Hello everybody,

We have plan to print the BAR CODE on the invoice.

our ABAPer design the format for the invoice.

he can preivew the invoice with the BAR Code but unable to print.

it print the actual no.

So please suggest me which setting required for the BAR code printing on invoice.

from BASIS side.

Ur requirement is to print a bar code ...rt?

so you can use smart form instead og sap-script.....REASON

script does not allows bar code to be printed on paper if u r using a normal printer..u need some other printer like the onle used for LABEL PRINTING.

furhter more smart forms automatically helos the printer(any) to print the barcode.

Is it a Script or a Smartform ??if it is a Smartform then The Barcode should print automatcially ,since it goes as a IMAGE to the Printer.. if it is a script the the Printer should be capable of Printing BARCODEs and as suggested refer to the SAP NOTES.

Hi Ganesh,

I guess your printer does not have barocde fonts installed.(see SAP note 45643)

You could use the new barcode technology, which is described in SAP Notes #645158 and #430887. This is only possible when printing via Smartforms. Another solution is to print via a Windows system with a windows device type like SAPWIN or SWINCF and a barcode.dll.(see SAP note #14561)

Hi Aidan,

I have check the Note : 645158 & create the output device Barcode with the device type SWIN.

I have read in post, Barcode is printed automatically, no any setting required.

my ABAPer create the barcode in SMSRTFORM.

Is any setting necessary in SE73.

which one check System Bar codes OR Printer bar Codes

Please suggest.
