NetWeaver 2004S: Support Package

Hello Experts,

From the previous post in the BI forums i came to know i have to apply Note:905624....which inturns is guiding me to load Support Package 7.

Since my basis guy is on leave for next few days, and i have to try it by myself, so help me if i am missing with some step.

I have downloaded the Support Pakcage and decommpresed the car file to my Application Server. Now from SPAM Tcode i loaded the .pat files from application server.

Now when i am trying to check the queue...it is not displaying any queue....even though i loaded new support package...by check at the component hierachy i came to know that thier are some pre-requisite which are not met. I think i have to install some more supportive SPges.

Below are the component heriarchy pre-requiste options:

Requirement set 01

SAP_BW,700 YES

SAPKA70007 NO

SAPKIPYJ77 NO

SAPKW70006 YES

Requirement set 02

PI_BASIS,2006_1_700 No

SAP_BW, 700 YES

SAPKA70007 NO

SAPKW70006 YES

Let me know which Support Package i have to download more? and please if possible send me the links from where i can download.

Hello,

When I had to load SP11 I also searched initially for PI_BASIS,2006_1_700 and found that it doesn't exist.

What I did find (as the others have mentioned) is that as long as you can meet the requirements for one of the Requirement Sets in this case 01 you can then deploy your support package.

If you can search for the other two files (SAPKA70007, SAPKIPYJ77) to complete your set, you can then extract and load them successfully.

Hi,

You need to log onto to

service.sap.com

And browse to the downloads section.

Then search the following names and you should be able to download:

SAPKA70007

SAPKIPYJ77

PI_BASIS,2006_1_700

Once you import those you should be in good shape. (in order)

I saw this thread and your recommendation. I have installed BW 7.0 and the BI Content 7.03. I have patched the system up to the max. level available at this moment:

SAP_ABA 700 0008 SAPKA70008 Cross-Application Component

SAP_BASIS 700 0008 SAPKB70008 SAP Basis Component

PI_BASIS 2005_1_700 0008 SAPKIPYJ78 PI_BASIS 2005_1_700

SAP_BW 700 0006 SAPKW70006 SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0

BI_CONT 703 0000 - Business Intelligence Content

Now I want to patch the BI_CONT. I have downloaded the two available patches, uncompressed and loaded into the queue.

The darn thing is that prerequisite for any BI_CONT patches is the SAPKW70007 and this is a problem.

SAPKW70007 has a dependency on PI_BASIS PI_BASIS,2006_1_700, <u>which does not exist</u> for download from SAP! In fact for NW2004s there is no PI_BASIS,2006_x_xxxx!

Do you know if it is available for real? If yes, where can I get it?

and I see nowhere the requirement of having PI_BASIS_2006.1 installed.

There are usually two possible requirement sets, you only need to fulfill one of them.

PI 2006 is not available.

I got this and proceed successfully. I was weary to push it further assuming that both prerequisites sets are mandatory. It is clear now that it’s either.
