A child component (say x12--) is avialable in multiple parent materials( a12, a13, a14)..If planning is executed at component level, then it need to trigger certain parent material a12 only.how we needs to set up here.
Your requirement is not clear. What is meant by "trigger certain parent material ? " . Do you want to plan the component and only one parent ie., a12 in APO and the rest in R/3. If that is the case then you have to make the parent a12 and component SNP relevant and leave the rest as MRP relevant. But you still have to CIF the purchase orders or planned orders created for the other parents to APO and also the BOM's because dependent demand will be created for the component by all the parents and hence these demands have to be taken into consideration while planning the component.
