can anybody explain the meaning of Blocking handling units?
And also please tell me how to block a handling unit...

please use the T.Code : HUMO For blocking the handling units for blocking and unblocking the HU.
or
MMBE - Display a material and select Environment u2192Handling unit for seeing teh status of HU.

In HUMO how can i block the HU.. And please tell me the meaning for blocking the HUs.
this is to infrom you that,
goto HUMO T.C ode give your handling unit number or numbers there in ranges.
you will get teh list of HU's.
then select which ever you want to lock.
goto LOCK/UNLOCK HU - CTRLSHIFT F8 - TO LOCK AND CS+F9 to unlock.
