is it posible to translate using a xlf file without the need to redeploy?

Hi!

I´ve seen other posts asking the same but without an answer, my client is trying to translate a Webdynpro messages and labels at least but he does not want to do it from NWDS, is there a way to achieve this to create the .xlf file with translation and upload it with out an .ear file?

Hi,

This is not possible. Because when you do generation of .ear then only the xlf files are converted to corresponding properties file. These properties file in turn are used for translation.

Hi,

After creating .xlf file with the translations we need to build and deploy the Webdynpro Development Component again for the changes to take effect. Without deploying again it is not possible for changes to take effect.
