Yes you can very well do the consignment sales for export scenario. The only criteria is that you need to know the sold to party (end customer) on whom only fillup (KB) sale order should be created. Being exports, your pricing procedure is so simple due to the fact that tax and ED are exempted but still you need to create an excise invoice (assuming that the delivering plant is in India).

Apart from the points already mentioned, few drawbacks are

a) you cannot track the stock ship to party wise here

b) Consignment issue process is tedious due to the fact that the copy control should be F8 proforma to KE order which means, issue sale order should be created only based on proforma. Of course, you can create a BDC for this but in order to have proper document flow, issue delivery should be created only based on the quantity what has been pulled out . This means, one issue order can en number of issue deliveries and you cannot create LSMW or BDC for this. Issue delivery should be created only manually either via VL01N or VL10C

Hope you got the point now.

thanks

Hi Manjeet,

For the consignment issue, it is assumed that the consignment stock is

located in the same country as the ship-to-party. This is because it is

not always possible to determine the location of the stock at this part

of the program. You can set the tax departure country in the order

header manually.

Also, consulting note 10560 would be the correct note to change the

behaviour how the tax classification from customer master and from

material master will be read.

Please also refer to the following notes:

10560 Tax determination for plant abroad

158890 Requirements f. tax determination as of Rel

434562 Determination and country of VAT registrati

I hope it can help you.

Hi Kulkarni,

Yes you can do Consignment process for exports scenario.

When you do consignment fill up system shows stock sits at customer site, but actually not. In this case you can't monitor stock in transit and location wise stock, like how much stock sits at port.

CF helps you in such a way that the stock valuation can be done correctly. You can generate Pre-Shipment documents based of delivery or performa at consignment fill up and post shipments based on Consignment Issue F2.

Hope this helps
