RE: File Format for uploading Virsa files

Hi all,

we are configuring Virsa (version VIRSA 400_700 Patch 0010) and trying to upload Virsa files using rule architect. the file format we saved is text (tab delimited). txt and ANSI encoding.

when we uploaded these files in to Application Server, i see that the files contain # 's and due to this we are having problems in uploading the files to virsa tables.

my question is, in what format do i need to save these files? and how can i eliminate these #'s in the files.

Thanks,

SS

hm

"rule architect"...... hearing that after 3 years........ !!!

hopefully you got correct files from SAP for your 4.0

remember the name of files is hardcorded in the code, hence they must remain same as given by SAP...

remove #'s mannually and save as just tab delimited....... don't remember any format was must...........

regards,

Surpreet

remember not to open these files in excel as you may accidently make values 02 as 2

Hi,

I am not sure if this would work on 4.0, but did you try exporting an empty ruleset from your system if there is one, that will actually contain the template file taht you need. Tab delimited files do work for virsa.
