problem in file content conversion

hi,

I am facing a problem in an outbound scenario wherein i m posting an Idoc from R/3 n XI generates a text file. But while creating different line in the generated text file corresponding to Idoc segments, the communication channel dosent recognizes newline character i.e 'nl'. the scenario worked absolutely fine in windows enviornment but while i tried to run it in UNIX enviornment, it didnt inserted the requisite newline.

Kindly help me out...
