SRM - Access to multiple purchasing groups

Hi All,

We currently use SRM 5.0 Extended classic. At present users are restricted to raising shopping carts/purchase orders, on only one purchasing group which they inherit from their attribute in the Org Structure.

We are looking to centralise a number of procurement processes and I have been asked to identfiy if it is possible for a user to raise shopping carts/purchase orders on multiple purchasing groups ? And if so is this something that can be done by user roles or secuirty, or is this something that needs to be done using a BADI ?

Not an "expert" in SRM but I think that functionality is available with SRM 7.0 - we're currently evaluating that on a test upgrade.
