Solution Database in solution Manager

Dear Friends,

I am facing the problem in creating a solution in Soltuion Database of solution manger.

After making all the necesary entries in solution when I save that it gives the error as below.

The URL

http://smgropttrx.jktyre.com:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_sdk_sdb_create_entry was not called due to an error.

Note

The following error text was processed in the system SMR : Access

via 'NULL' object reference not possible.

The error occurred on the application server Smgropttrx_SMR_01 and in

the work process 0 .

The termination type was: RABAX_STATE

The ABAP call stack was:

You may want to reference AP Note 1492648 - ST-A/PI: PI/XI EWA dump OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED as it may very well address this error.

Thanks for your valuable reply.

This note is addressing the same dump but this dump is coming at the time of saving the solution in solution databse.

note is for deactivating EWA.

Hi Madhu,

My issue has resolved, now we are able to save solution in solution database.

I have used t.coe CRMC_SAF_TOOL and check the installation of TREX and that was not configured properly there ware RFC problem in Solman and after that I configured it as standard TREX.

Use t. code CRMC_SAF_TOOL than check installation

select the error (red button) then click on Guide Next.

Make entries for TREX as per your landscap. In our case we have installed TREX and Solman on same server.

Dear Ganesh / Madhu,

I m new to solution manger we are implementing the service desk (IM) Process. Now my client wants to implement solution database.

So, I want to know more information on solution database (i.e. purpose and what are the prerequisite to take care before implement solution database).

I am gathering details in search engines, but I am looking quick understanding of the process.

for your information for system wise I gone through, but before going to implement I want to know what is what and how it is advantange for customer.

could you pls send me more details on the solution database at SAP solution manager. if you hve any useful link on this pls share.
