SAP BI - BEx Reports Are Very Slow

Hi,

We have reports on DSO, and data volume is huge. (20 million records). We are in process of crating cubes over them. Right now most of the reports have stopped executing. So i need to provide a short term solution that can help in providing the reports atleast for this while.

I have tried to create a copy DSO and have taken data for this fiscal year only. But still the amount of data is high. I have tried to put secondary indexes on the DSO as well.

Any more suggestions?

Any suggestions if there is some way of executing the reports in Background. I mean an ABAP program that triggers BEx report and generates a spool. Something similar?

You can search on SDN using temrs "bi reporting performance" and you will find a lot of documents, articles, blogs, virtual TECHed sessions.

Heaps of content you can go through, read, watch and so on and come back on forum when you have specific questions on those topics.
