Hi
We are in process of doing a technical upgrade from SCM 4.0 to 7.0. The client decided to proceed with the upgrades of SCM without LiveCache. The intention was that LiveCache data would be rebuilt from data in ABAP and then pushed back out to LiveCache after the SCM 7.0 upgrade completed. Now the upgrade is complete, I tried to export the data in to liveCache using report /SAPAPO/OM_LC_UPGRADE_70, it failed saying there was a run time error in application program.
Please share thoughts on what can be done.
Thanks in advance!
Venkat
Found an alternative by loading data into live cache from a backup info cube using /sapapo/tscube. Issue resolved.
Thanks for Interest

Venkat,
??
The client decided to proceed with the upgrades of SCM without LiveCache.
What does that mean? Are you saying you didn't back up LC, or are you saying you didn't upgrade LC? Or what?

The liveCache was not upgraded. It was suggested that data can be uploaded into liveCache, once the upgrade is completed from SCM 4.0 to 7.0. Once the upgrade got completed, we tried to upload data into liveCache using SAP report /SAPAPO/OM_LC_UPGRADE_70, but it gave back a dump saying there was application error.
We had a thought of using the standard SAP report /SAPAPO/OM_LC_DOWNLOAD_UPLOAD to upload the liveCache. But it was advised that the standard report must not be used if we implement another major release upgrade (4.0 to 7.0)
Thanks
Venkatesh
Venkatesh,
??
The decision about how to load the data into LC is a separate matter. You generally should upgrade LC at the same time you upgrade SCM. I am guessing that someone there has neglected to read the applicable upgrade guides.

I can't say that the lack of LC upgrade is the reason for your specific problem, but I can guarantee that you will run into other problems if you don't upgrade LC.
