Supplier constraint in PPDS

Dear Experts,

We wanted to use supplier delivery component quantity to be hard constraint for scheduling/re-scheduling in PP/DS. Please can anyone throw light on this.

Hi,

Can you whether the Field "Planned Delivery time " in the Order categories to be rescheduled section in the Order processing tab page of the Optimizer profile suits your needs.

1. With this indicator during optimization system considers the Planned Delivery Time for all externally procured products

(components/assemblies) that have shortages.

2. If you set this indicator and the system has already created external procurement orders, it then calculates the planned delivery

time from these orders and considers this time during optimization.

Example:

The order for product A can begin if the necessary components B and C are available. During the calculation of the order start date for A, the system takes the planned delivery time of B and C into account, and de-expedites the order by the according number of days in the future.

But my requirement/constraint is day-to-day supplier delivery quantity not planned delivery time. For example Product A (FG) and Product B (Component) if scheduler wanted to reschedule FG goods order operation system should check component availability based supplier delivery quantity for that day reschedule operation. If there is any shortage in component then system should give an alert, thus scheduler will know what the situation is accordingly they will be proactive active while doing rescheduling.

Here supplier every day supplier is constant.

How to model this constraint in PP/DS while schedule and reschedule order operation.

Moorthi,

It sounds like you want to reschedule your planned/production orders based on the availability of components. You will probably want to use heuristic SAP_PP_009 in some form. You can then use the alert monitor to indicate late receipts.
