RBE 3.0 -tool

Dear expert

I need to some clarification regarding RBE 3.0 tool . I am aware of the fact that RBE 3.0 tool is discontinued from SAP and now RBE plus is available commercially by IBIS.

I wanted to know can we still download RBE 3.0 for test purpose .In software download corner I saw RBE download file but not able to find out Installation guide for the same.

I am also interested in knowing if there is any other tool by SAp which is a replacement for RBE.

I want to download "ZRBE_DWL_TRANS_ASSIGNMENTS_TXT" from RBE 3.0 .

Hi Asheesh,

RBE was originally co-developed by SAP and IBIS AG in the late 90tys..

SAP and IBIS agreed that IBIS would offer RBE Plus as the successor of RBE when SAP stopped development in 2004 (http://www.ibis-thome.com/no_cache/en/publications/press-releases/article/75-aufwand.html?tx_ttnewsbackPid=338). Since then RBE Plus is available via IBIS.

Furthermore SAP and IBIS have continued their cooperation and both companies jointly enhance the capabilities of SAP Solution Manager: http://www.sap.com/global/templates/press.epx?pressid=14788&query=IBIS

IBIS will continue to offer RBE Plus services and tools to support SAP's customer and IBIS and SAP will offer add-on service which can't be provided via Solution Manager or Solution Documentation Assistant (SDA).

Please read, download and apply "SAP Note RBE3.0-ABAP Reports to Download Initial Data from SAP System".

It should address the problem described.

Hi Asheesh,

RBE has been replaced by Solution Documentation Assistant that is part of SAP Solution Manager.
