Dear All,
On Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.4035.00 (Intel IA-64) Nov 24 2008 12:59:53 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2).
Getting below error message when executing RESTORE HEARDERONLY command from management studio (find attached backup command.jpg for reference).
Msg 3242, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
The file on device '
.\Tape0' is not a valid Microsoft Tape Format backup set.
Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
RESTORE HEADERONLY is terminating abnormally.
But using same media on MS SQL Server 2005 SP2 32bit (Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.1399.06 (Intel X86) Oct 14 2005 00:33:37 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Enterprise Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 1) no error message get generated and command performing successfully.
Please could you help me in resolving problem, If you require more details please let me know.

Hello,
This could be either because the previous backup contents were not
generated with SQL Server, but with another tool that uses a different
backup set format instead or because the files of that previous backup
are damaged (you can check when and how the previous backup was taken
and check the corresponding backup log).
In any case, if you want to perform a new backup by using MS SQL Server,
you must ensure that the tape used must have the MS SQL Server backup
format. If this is not the case, you can use the option FORMAT.

Was the backup taken on IA64 or x86 (32bit)?
