Problem printing on japanese printer

Hi

We are trying to print smartforms and sapscript forms in european languages in a printer configured in Japanese (Fuxi xerox Docucentre-IV).

The printer only prints something with devices types specifics for Japan, but most of device types for japanese printers don't contain fthe fonts used in west european forms, this is causing that boxes don't appear and fonts are changed.

On the other hand the printer is supposed to support PCL language but when using PCL device types compatible with the printer or only raw data is printed or nothing is printed.

Have anyone had a similar problem? Do we need to select any option to be able of printing on a Japanese device type even if we are printing forms on european languages? Do we need to configure something in the printer or install something to the printer to support PCL-5?

Many thanks,

Raquel

Hi,

did you consider to use frontend printing (SAPWIN) for the texts including European special characters ?

Hi,

There is no other option ,you need to do changes in smart forms or scripts as per that printer.
