Demand is not getting updated in MD04

Hi Team,

we are facing strange issue for an particular plant.

Issue :-In MD04 forecast is not getting reduced after doing PGI.

For this MTO scenario when we are creating outbound delivery requirement of quantity is getting generated in MD04 but after doing PGI it is not reducing the forecast however overall stock availability is reduced .

Reduction of forecast is necessary otherwise in next MRP run, additional demand would be place on the supplying plant.

Any pointers what could be the reason of forecasting not getting updated.

Tell me one thing, if the material has a make to stock kind of strategy, then how come additional demand would be produced. Make to stock is used when the production lead time is huge. Now in your case how do you want the system to behave? I guess its behaving correctly as even if demand is not reduced you would not be able to produce the same.

please check STRATEGY group in MRP views in MMR.

explain your process of how requriment will be passed to MRP.

please confirm.

Here strategy group is 10 ,same is used in both the cases.

There is one correction here scenario is make to stock.

To clean up the inconsistencies, run report SDRQCR21 in SA38 and check again in MD04.

Hi,

Do you have the same schedule line in case when forecast is reduced and in case it is not happening ? Do you use the same movement type in both situations ?
